Linseed egg substitute
For those of you with an egg allergy this comes in handy. Don't use it for cakes as it won't do the same job as an egg unfortunately, but for other binding jobs this is a great alternative.
- 3 tbs warm water
- 1 tbs golden linseed ground freshly ground
- The oil deteriorates quickly and goes rancid if you buy pre ground flax or linseed so grind the linseed/flax just before you use it. Mix with the water with a whisk or fork and leave to stand for 10 minutes.
