
Tomato Sauce
I had terrible trouble sourcing a sugar free tomato sauce, so I ended up making my own. Easy peasy and much cheaper! Keeps for ages in a jar in the fridge.

Ingredients
- 500 ml carton tomato passata
- 1 tbs light olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic puree
- 1/2 tsp allspice
- 1/4 tsp tabasco
- 50 ml white wine vinegar
- 30 ml rice syrup
- 1/2 tsp celery salt
- 2 tsp onion granules
- 1 tbs tomato puree
- salt and pepper
Instructions
- Put everything in a pan. Stir well.
- Bring to the boil. Then simmer for 30 minutes until slightly reduced and thicker. It will thicken more as it cools.
- Store in a jar in the fridge for up to a month.
